Boulton Paul Defiant

The Boulton Paul Defiant represents a fascinating chapter in the history of RAF fighter aircraft. This British fighter, with its unconventional turret design, played a key role in the Battle of Britain and subsequent night-time engagements. Our collection features meticulously crafted 1:72 scale models from renowned manufacturers Corgi, Oxford and Solido. Each model captures the authentic colour schemes of specific aircraft from various squadrons, including 141, 151, 264 and 307 (Polish) Squadron.

The Boulton Paul Defiant models in our range represent the wide spectrum of operational deployment of this exceptional aircraft. You will find aircraft from the daytime battles over Britain in 1940 as well as night fighters from the later stages of the conflict. Each model comes with a display stand, and some limited editions include numbered cards confirming their exclusivity.

The model depicting the only complete surviving example from the RAF Museum Hendon deserves special attention. For fans of night fighters, we also recommend taking a look at the Northrop P-61 Black Widow models, which represent the American approach to night defence. The collection is complemented by models of reconnaissance aircraft such as the Henschel HS 126.

All Defiant models are manufactured with an emphasis on historical accuracy and feature detailed reproduction of the characteristic defensive turret with machine gun. Ideal for military history collectors and modellers specialising in Second World War aircraft.
