The Blackburn Buccaneer was a state-of-the-art British attack aircraft that served with both the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy from the 1960s until the end of the 20th century. The Buccaneer was designed as a refuelling attack aircraft capable of penetrating enemy defences at low altitudes and high speeds. Our models capture the service of this aircraft with notable units, including RAF 208 Squadron, which operated from RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland, and 800 NAS on HMS Eagle. The model bearing the ‘Miss Jolly Roger’ markings from Operation Granby deserves special attention.
